Fit churches are growing and planting others.

Where is our church along the 'health paradigm'?  Gary McIntosh suggests there are five types of churches.  There are "Hospice Churches", "Sick Churches", "Healthy Churches", "Fit Churches", and "World Class Churches".

World class athletes compete in the Olympic Games and other national and world venues. They are a step above even those who are physically fit.  How can we become a World Class Church?

WOW! great stuff. Maybe every church should read this at the next board meeting. I wonder how many of us are willing to admit how sick we really are?

Even the most fruitful church among us can learn something helpful from what McIntosh says in this article. I hope some can stop hiding behind the myth that unfruitful equals spiritually deep. Everything living has a season of winter, but getting stuck there means we miss out on the new life that spring brings us.
