Hurricane Sandy Relief Response

Dear Brethren,

We have heard and seen the news reports of widespread devastation associated with Hurricane Sandy.  We've heard of deaths, witnessed flooding, and seen the reports of thousands of people without power.  Further inland, we've witnessed this same storm dump massive amounts of snow and ice.  One storm with a wide swath of devastation.

 

The people of God are called to shine in times like these and our response should not be any different this time around.  The Brethren Service Corps is currently in contact with partner organizations to help develop a organized response for Brethren.  We also wish to remind you of the Brethren Relief fund.  This fund provided necessary funding to our brothers and sisters in in the Philippines during their recent funding.  In times of crisis like this we need to immediately mobilize relief before we can effectively provide rehabilitation and develop in the weeks and months ahead.
