New Day Grant Opportunity New Day Grant Opportunity The Brethren Church National Office invites local Brethren congregations to apply for a New Day Grant. Recently The National Office received a generous bequest from a gracious Brethren family. The National Office, with full support of the Executive Board, is pleased to make a portion of this bequest available to local congregations through a New Day Grant. Important information about the grants: 1. To apply, simply fill out the attached sheet, providing the necessary detailed information. 2. A congregation can apply for a grant between $1,000 -$3,000. 3. The New Day Grant money must be used to directly impact ministry to your local community and fulfill the New Day mission and vision of The Brethren Church: · Transformed leadership · Transformed congregations · Transformation of your community … in the power of the Holy Spirit! {Grant money cannot be used for capital improvements or already existing programs.} 4. The deadline for applications is June 15, 2009. An impartial committee will review all grant applications and select grant recipients. 5. Grants will be announced and awarded at National Conference in July 2009.
