Ken Hunn

Ken Hunn has been serving as Executive Director of the Brethren Church since July 2003. Ken and Nancy will celebrate their thirty-second wedding anniversary this year. They are the parents of three grown children. Ken served in pastoral ministry for twenty-three years in two congregations before joining the Brethren Church National Office staff. He brings many of the skills developed in congregational ministry to the management of our relationships with missionaries in eleven foreign countries, as well as assisting our US churches in fulfilling God’s mission in their respective communities. Ken is a graduate of Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana, and a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary. In their spare time, Ken and Nancy enjoy being “at the lake.”

Tony Van Duyne

Tony Van Duyne has worked at the National Office for three years as a part time employee and now as our Operations Manager. Tony has been married for four years to his wife Jillian, and attends Five Stones Community Church and help run an organization called “the well” for Ashland University students on Thursday evenings. Tony and Jillian also are care takers of a house called “710” which focuses on the Young Adults of the greater Ashland, Ohio area. Tony graduated from Ashland University in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration.

Stan Gentle

Stan Gentle is the Director of Administrative Services. He is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the Brethren Church. He has been with the Brethren Church National Office for 30 years after working in administration at Brethren’s Home in Flora, IN, for three years. Stan and his wife Judi celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this summer and have three married sons and three grandsons. He is active at Park Street Brethren Church as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon. He is also active in the local Kiwanis Club where he is secretary. Stan is a graduate of Ashland University and took graduate work at the University of Arizona.

Bill Ludwig

Bill Ludwig is a 2006 graduate from Ashland Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and a 2003 graduate from University of Akron receiving a double major in Psychology and Sociology. He has worked at the National Office as the Church Planting Coordinator since June 2006. Currently Bill is involved in planting churches in Northeast, Ohio and Mississippi and sits on the board of an international mission organization. Bill has been married to his wife Jennifer for ten years and together they are the proud parents of Noah (7) and Emily (5). In his moments of freedom he enjoys backpacking, rafting/kayaking, fishing, and making music with his friends.

Gary Diehl

Gary Diehl is our Church Health and Resource Specialist, and considers himself a missionary to churches. He has been part of the North Georgetown First Brethren Church for about 30 years. He and his wife Nancy live in Alliance, Ohio, and have four children and four grandchildren. He has served local churches as Sunday school teacher, choir director, worship leader, moderator, financial secretary, deacon, and as a leader of various task forces and ministry teams. He spent most of his working career in the business world, and earned his Bachelors degree in business from Malone College. Gary also serves as a lead consultant and ministry coach with Living Stones Associates, a consulting team that specializes in helping churches in various circumstances keep their focus on healthy ministry. He sees his role with the BCNO as helping church leaders see more clearly what IS and what COULD BE, developing the creative tension that promotes change, and coming along side them in their journey from one to the other.

Paula Strickland

Paula Strickland is the Administrative Assistant at the BCNO.  Paula attended Ashland University where she met her husband Ed, they have been marrried for 14 years.  They have 3 children Zack, 18, Naomi, 12 and Hanna 10.  They attend Park Street Brethren Church.  Paula coaches gymnatics and is active on the Ohio Board of Christian Education.  She spends a week each summer at Camp Bethany as dean for Jr. High Camp
