BRETHREN CHURCH INCREASES ABILITY TO RESOURCE CONGREGATIONS

The Ashland, Ohio-based denomination adds new staff members; reallocates existing staff to serve churches better.

Miles Larson has been named Director of Congregational and Pastoral Vitality. Before this role, Miles was senior pastor at Northgate Community Church (Manteca, CA). Miles is a graduate of Ashland University (2002) and holds graduate degrees from Geneva College and Ashland Theological Seminary. Miles is experienced and brings a creative, forward-thinking passion to the role. The Director of Congregational and Pastoral Vitality will serve Brethren congregations proactively, help congregations strengthen themselves, and help Pastors stay refreshed, renewed, and resourced for their ministry.

Lydia Heckert joins The Brethren Church staff as a receptionist and Executive Assistant to Steven Cole. Lydia will graduate from Ashland Unversity shortly and continues to be active in Brethren ministries throughout the denomination.

Finally, Michael Cook will transition to a role as Ministry Support Specialist. In this role, Michael will provide logistical and administrative support to all national ministries of The Brethren Church, including our five regions across North America.
