Brethren Classes & Cohorts


Periodically, Brethren Leadership Development offers online courses for the fulfillment of requirements for ordination, as well as helping our leaders better understand who we are as Brethren. These courses are generally of Brethren History, Brethren Doctrine, and Brethren Polity & Ordinances. Click on an option below to register for an upcoming course. NOC Policy & Availability of Class Offerings

The National Ordination Council (NOC) accepts the completion of these online classes under the guidance, supervision, and grading of an approved district teacher. For complete policy and opportunities to take these courses for approval by NOC, contact the Board of Oversight or the Ministerial Examining Board in your district.


Ashland Theological Seminary

This version of the Brethren courses is only for those who will not be taking the courses for credit at Ashland Theological Seminary.  You cannot receive academic credit for taking the courses in this way, and the courses cannot be applied to any degree or diploma at the seminary.
