It's important to plan and prepare before leaving on an internship experience. Here are some of the more commonly asked questions and responses to help you be ready. As a general rule, it is strongly advised to spend time researching the country you will be visiting before your trip takes place. Knowing basics information regarding the country you'll call home for a few weeks to months, will certainly help you transition to living there.

IS IT SAFE?List Item 2
Yes! However, there is always an inherient risk that can be planned for but not completely elliminated. Intern site locations are located in safe areas. To reduce risk, be aware of your surroundings. Never carry all your money in one place. Carry only what you need in the moment. Use a cross-body travel bog to carry cash and valuables. Research ways to prevent theft while traveling in the country you'll be serving.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?List Item 3
Each trip is unique, and therfore, the cost will vary. Your financial goal should be to raise $3,000 USD.
Flights: range from $750-$1,200
Apartnment rental for three months: $1,200
Transportation: $150 for gas
Food: Provided by the hosts and yourself for three months $600-$1,000
Personal Expenses - Souvenirs: $50-$200 / Trourist trip: $120
TOTAL ESTIMATE: $3,200-$3,600

WHAT'S THE SPOKEN LANGUAGE?
All of our intern sights have a least one person who speaks English. In Peru, Spanish is the common spoken language. In South Africa, a few languages (Africaans, English, Xhosa, and Zulu) are most common. In the Philippines, Tagalog and Cebuano are most commonly spoken.
It is not necessary that you learn the language(s) of the country you're in. However, it would be helpful to learn a few basic, common works prior to leaving.

HOW WILL I GET AROUND TOWN?
Peru: When with the team, they have a ministry vehicle. You can alos navigate most of Pucusana by walking or moto-taxi (inexpensive mode of travel, usually $1-$2 per ride).
