STILL CHANGING LIVES IN PERU
The pandemic continues to cause waves around the world, resulting in various forms of disruptions. It is not uncommon to find many of your partners in some lock-down or social distancing requirements. Yet, even with the uncomfortable and challenging circumstances, God continues to make his presence known and bring hope to many who are genuinely struggling to find it.
Pastor Luis and those in his church in Lima, Peru, continue to work with other ministries in the local area to provide food for the less fortunate, especially those living in Ticlio Chico. A small neighborhood filled with many poor people trying to survive.
Recently they took up an offering from the church which resulted in about $500 Peruvian Soles or about $125 U.S. to add to other gifts. To put this into perspective, the average annual wage earned by individual Peruvians is between $1700 and $2000 Soles, equal to roughly $500 in the U.S. Therefore, this sacrificial love gift is significant considering the state of Peru and its economy because of the Pandemic.
Together, the ministry team bought, transported, and presented community organizers with the love offering from the groups. Community leaders were astounded and overjoyed by the gift. These items will help create more community pots and dinners where people gather and get food for the entire household.

Just one of the ways the church in Peru continues to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus in tangible ways in their communities. Pastor Luis continues to provide for the needs of his congregation and requests continued prayer as the financial results of the crisis have also been added to by a new political crisis. Combined, many are struggling and deeply worried for the future of their country. Pastor Luis appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers.
